My mother sent me to piano lessons when I was in elementary school.

The piano lessons helped me learn how to read musical scores.

However, I did not like playing the piano at all back then.

I wanted to quit many times because I was such a slow learner.

When I was in middle school, I learned how to play various musical instruments during our music class.

The one I remember the most is the recorder.

We were all given tests on the recorder during mid-terms and finals, so we all had to practice as much as we could.

In high school, I learned how to play the traditional Korean drum called janggu.

It wasn’t easy at all because you needed a good sense of rhythm to play it well.

Oh, and in college, I learned how to play the guitar from one of my friends.

Come to think of it, I have earned quite a few instruments in my life.
